Irish Ancestral Past Somehow Linked To Giant Green Top Hat

As I carefully unpack my giant green top hat every Irish American keeps in their closet, I wonder how proud my Irish ancestors must be that I continue to carry on the legacy of the Irish.

As I pull up my green suspenders, and brew myself a mug of green beer, I place my top hat proudly on my head to get ready to roam around at the bar occasionally shouting “slainte!” before clinking a glass of my green ale and saying “ah it’s good to be Irish.”

I imagine my ancestors walking the streets in Boston and Ireland in 1901 on this very day donned in sequined top hats, shamrock sunglasses and green mustaches and tip my hat to the legacy of my kin folk.
