Friend Makes Bold Claim: "The Surface Of Mars Is Most Likely Like The Cheesy Chip I'm Eating"

The Thursday night get together to watch the baseball game veered off course when my friend began examining the cheesy chips, provided as a snack, and made the biggest stoner-like remark I’ve ever heard that “the cheese dust looks like red stuff on the surface of Mars”. The statement derailed us into a 45-minute discussion with my friend saying stuff like “Is Mars just really made of cheese powder? Think about it. The surface of a cheesy chip looks just like the red planet.” At one point, my friend insisted we get our grade school science teacher Mr. Whittens on the phone to get an expert’s opinion at which point I took the bowl of chips and threw them out the window.
